My Favorite Pokemon!

These are always changing for me, and the only one that's really consistent as my FAVORITE is #1. Honestly, any of the honorable mentions could probably be swapped for 9 or 10. I just love these little guys, it's so hard to choose between them lol. Anyways! Here are my top ten favorite pokemon:

10. Volcarona

I love moths, and in my opinion volcarona is the best moth pokemon has to offer. Finding them in the desert ruins is super iconic and something I'll always remember fondly. They get extra points for potentially being based off seraphim. Slither Wing is also really cool.

9. Eelektross

Eelektross is just a silly little guy. And also decently tough, helping carry me through my first playthrough of White. I also just love eels as well as leeches, tapeworms and the like. They'd be a bit higher if only they had a secondary typing! Water, ground, or poison would've fit great.

8. Silvally

Silvally makes the list by virtue of being the only pokemon to make me cry. I love Type:Null and Silvally's backstory and the story that is told with its stats. Plus the fact it's essentially a failed clone of God just makes it incredibly cool to me.

7. Runerigus

While I definitely don't choose my favorites based on strength, Runerigus was an absolute beast on my first playthrough of Sword. Not to mention their design is INSANELY cool with an even cooler shiny. I also personally love the weird way they evolve, I loved swsh's weird evolution methods (excluding farfetch'd).

6. Zoroark (both forms)

Ever since Zoroark was announced I've been a fan of the pokemon, and my fondness only grew with the movie and then Hisuian Zorua and Zoroark's reveal. I also love how mysterious it is in BW and B2W2, it's always so fun to encounter.

5. Obstagoon

I've said the word "cool" probably a dozen times at this point, but Obstagoon is really the definition of a cool as fuck pokemon. It takes an already fun pokemon (zigzagoon) and makes it so much more awesome, plus it's absolutely crazy on the battlefield. I'm especially fond of Obstagoon as it carried me through both the wild area and the Elite Four in Sword.

4. Jumpluff

Jumpluff has a special place in my heart as I used one that I got from a friend on my Moon playthrough. I just think they're super cute, and I love all the memes and gifs people make using the little fella. It would be much higher in the list if it kept its 1997 beta design, which I find to be one of the cutest pokemon designs of all time.

3. Flareon & Umbreon (sorry if this is cheating)

I was struggling so hard to choose between these two, and I didn't wanna have two eeveelutions on the list, so here they are together. I have quite the history with eevee and it's evolutions, like a lot of kids I was very attached to them. Umbreon has been my favorite since I was little, and my appreciation for Flareon came more in my teen years. There's so much I could say about them, but it mostly boils down to the fact they're just very important to me.

2. Quagsire

Quagsire is just such a loveable pokemon in my opinion, it's so silly both in the anime and the games, we love to see it. Not to mention I have a personal attachment to quagsire, as my older sibling convinced me to trade my grotle for an overleveled wooper during my first ever playthrough of pokemon Diamond. I also just love salamanders and amphibians in general.

HONORABLE MENTIONS:

1. Typhlosion!!!

Maybe typhlosion is a little bit overrated when it comes to favorites, but I couldn't care less. Ever since choosing cyndaquil as my starter in SoulSilver I've adored Typhlosion and the entire evolution like with my whole heart. While SoulSilver wasn't the first game I EVER played, it's the first that I beat and made significant progress in. You never forget your first starter!
